Miami, FL, May 17, 2022 -With more than 50 years of experience in delivering ceiling solutions for the Marine sector, DAMPA believes in providing a unique, high quality product. Currently, DAMPA is using their expertise to develop sustainable ceiling solutions, produced with a focus on passengers’ well-being & safety on board, while maintaining their beautiful, one of a kind look.

“We have a strong focus on sustainability in our work with steel and aluminum. Metal has the huge advantage that it can be recycled over and over, without losing its strength and mechanical properties – therefore it is a hugely advantageous material for our planet” says Michael Nykjær, CEO. By producing metal from recycled material, only about 10% of the resources are used in the manufacturing process, compared to the same process using non recycled materials.

We are constantly focusing on improving our work so that we can minimize our carbon footprint. One of the solutions we are looking at is a “greener” aluminum. If you compare our current aluminum from European suppliers with, for example, aluminum from the Far East, our material emits 57% less CO2 per kg” explains Mogens Kjærgaard, Product Manager at DAMPA.

Now, DAMPA also offers a ceiling solution produced with Post-Consumer Aluminum, an even greener solution.

By using aluminum that consists of 75% recycled material, CO2 emissions from production can be further reduced by 69%.

Thanks to their awareness of how important it is to conserve resources, DAMPA plans not only to implement this new effort, but also to develop more green solutions in the future for further reducing emissions and recycling as much material as possible.
